Day 1: Early morning pick up for a 3 and a half hour drive to Monteverde. Arrive at Monteverde Hotel in time for lunch on your own. Free afternoon to explore the area or just relax at your hotel. Dinner and overnight at your hotel in Monteverde. Day 2: Guided excursion to Monteverde Cloud Forest Reserve. This place is best known as home to the resplendent Quetzal and many other birds and plant species. The Reserve is open daily from 7:00 am to 4:00 pm. On the way back to the hotel, we will stop at the famous Hummingbird Gallery. Dinner and overnight at your hotel in Monteverde. (See Best things to do). Day 3: Mid morning departure to San José. |
