Day 1: Flight to San Jose, Costa Rica (BG)
Even before your plane lands at Juan Santamaría International Airport, you will see spectacular volcanoes, lovely highlands, and jungle lowlands. Upon arrival a bilingual guide will meet you at the Airport and transfer you to your hotel. Overnight at Grano de Oro Hotel.

Day 2: Rafting Trip at Pacuare River (RG) (B,L)
Pacuare has the most beautiful river canyon in the tropics and cuts through one of those rare pockets of wilderness left on the planet. Early morning pick up at your hotel.(Total driving time to put in location 3 hours approx) Stop en route for a typical Costa Rican breakfast and then continue to the put in location. After an orientation and safety talk proceed down the river. Picnic lunch on a river bank. The river time is approx. 5 hours. Afternoon take-out followed by an approx. 1 hour drive back to Hotel Suerre, located near Braulio Carrillo National Park. Overnight at Suerre Hotel.

Day 3: San José / Tortuguero (BG) (B,L,D)
Morning pick-up (approximately 9:00 a.m.) to transfer you to Freeman Dock. Stop for breakfast near Braulio Carrillo National Park. Enjoy the boat ride through the exotic jungle of Tortuguero National Park and arrive at the hotel in time for lunch. Free afternoon to relax or explore the area with your guide. Overnight at Pachira Lodge.

Day 4: At Tortuguero (BG) (B) (L) (D)
This day you will visit Tortuguero National Park, originally protected as a major nesting beach for the Atlantic Green Turtle. The Park preserves 21.000 hectares of tropical rainforest in its natural state. Silently paddling through the jungle lagoons and waterways, searching for wildlife and listening to "jungle sounds" make this experience memorable. After this, you will visit the town of Tortuguero and the Green Turtle Museum. Free afternoon. Overnight at Pachira Lodge.

Day 5: Tortuguero / Arenal (BG) (B,L)
You will be transferred by boat and then by bus back to Guápiles where you will have lunch. After this, Green Tropical´s guide will pick you up to take you to Arenal Volcano area in time to see this beautiful active volcano, which is famous for its steaming, rumbling cone and spewing lava. Overnight at Arenal Paraíso Hotel.

Day 6: At Arenal (BG) (B,D)
Free day to do optional activities (fishing at the lake, biking, horseback riding). Romantic dinner at Restaurante Acuarelas. Overnight at Arenal Paraíso Hotel.

Day 7: Arenal / San Jose (BG) (B)
Mid-morning transfer to San Jose. On the way we will visit Sarchi, Costa Rica´s most famous craft centre. Overnight at Finca Rosa Blanca Country Inn, a very small and romantic hotel, located in the mountains and perfect to spend your last night in Costa Rica.

Day 8: Back Home (BG) (B)
Our guide will pick you up and transfer you to Juan Santamaría International Airport approximately two hours before your flight’s scheduled departure time.
