Day 1: Flight to San José, Costa Rica (BG)
Even before your plane lands at Juan Santamaría International Airport, you will see spectacular volcanoes, lovely highlands, and jungle lowlands. Upon arrival a bilingual guide will meet you at the Airport and transfer you to your hotel. Welcome dinner at Ram Luna, which overlooks the Central Valley. Overnight at Grano de Oro Hotel.

Day 2: Tortuga Island (BG) (B,L).
Depart from San José early in the morning and travel via air-conditioned bus to Puntarenas (approximately two and a half hours). Continental breakfast will be served on the bus and coffee is served on arrival to the dock. The cruise passes near seven different islands, including the famous Isla San Lucas (location of former prison) before passengers disembark to Isla Tortuga. Once in the island, you can enjoy the beach, swim, or just relax in this beautiful place. Delicious buffet lunch will be served under the shadow of the palm trees. Early afternoon departure to Puntarenas and arrival to San José approximately at 8:00 p.m. Overnight at Grano de Oro Hotel.

Day 3: Full Day Tour: Coffee Tour & National Theater (BG) (B,L)
Early pick-up at your hotel to take you the Coffee Tour where you will see coffee plantations, alive show and where you will be able to buy coffee at factory prices. Depart to San José to have lunch at Café Teatro Nacional located at our National Theater, a replica of the Opera of Paris. After lunch we will visit the Theater, elegant in its rich architectural detail, and considered San José’s most impressive public building. Overnight at Grano de Oro Hotel.

Day 4: San José /La Paz Waterfalls/Arenal Volcano (BG) (B,L)
After breakfast we will take you to El Tucano Hotel, which is located in a huge private biological reserve with exuberant and lush virgin tropical forest and is characterized by its thermo-mineral water springs. These waters are ideal for medical treatment, prevention, and as therapy for various diseases. Overnight at Arenal Lodge.

Day 5: At Arenal (BG) (B)
Explore the area with your guide. Overnight at Arenal Lodge

Day 6: Arenal/Sarchi/San José (BG) (B)
Breakfast included at the hotel. At noon you will leave to San José, driving through the towns of Zarcero, Naranjo, Sarchí, and Grecia. Late afternoon arrival to San José. Overnight at Grano de Oro Hotel.

Day 7: Back Home (BG) (B)
You will be transferred to Juan Santamaría International Airport approximately two hours before your flight´s scheduled departure time.
