Day 1:
Flight to San José, Costa Rica (D)
You will board your flight for San José, where you will be met
on arrival and transferred to your home. Overnight with your Costa Rican
family.
Day
2: At COSI (B,D)
Classes at Costa Rica Spanish Institute (COSI) during the morning and
free afternoon to do activities on your own. Overnight with your Costa
Rican family.
Day
3: InBioparque (BG) (B,L,D)
During the morning, you will receive Spanish classes at COSI and in the
afternoon, our guide will pick you up to take you to InBioparque, located
in the province of Heredia. This educational and recreational center exposes
visitors to samples of the vast world of biological diversity that can
be found in Costa Rica and its National Parks. Some of the things that
InBioparque offers are modern and interactive exhibition pavilions, interpreted
trails, groups of plant species from the three different forests of Costa
Rica (pre-montane, tropical humid, and tropical dry forests), a lagoon
with native species of plants, fishes, and water insects, crops of ornamental,
aromatic and medicinal plants, as well as fruit trees and much more. Overnight
with your Costa Rican family.
Day
4: Cultural CoffeeTour (BG) (B,L,D)
Classes at COSI during the morning and CoffeeTour in the afternoon. After
classes, our guide will pick you up to take you to Café Britt´s
farm in Heredia, where you will learn about the journey that coffee itself
takes, from the coffee plantation to its destination: the coffee cup.
We will visit an actual coffee plantation and in a plantation theater
you will see the widely entertaining story of the history of coffee. Afterward,
tour members can purchase packaged gourmet coffee at factory prices or
have their purchases mailed to any location in the U.S. Overnight with
your Costa Rican family.
Day
5: At COSI (B,D)
Classes at COSI during the morning and free afternoon to do activities
on your own. Last night & overnight with your Costa Rican family.
Day
6: San José/ La Paz Waterfall Gardens/Arenal Volcano (BG) (B,L)
Our guide will pick you up in the morning to take you to Arenal Volcano
Area. This volcano is famous for its steaming, rumbling cone and spewing
lava. On the way, you will visit La Paz Waterfall Gardens, where you will
discover the power and beauty of nature with the 5 magnificent waterfalls,
the Hummingbird Gallery, and the Butterfly Observatory present in this
place. Overnight at Arenal Paraíso Hotel.
Day
7: Arenal / Manuel Antonio (BG) (B)
Our guide will pick you up in the morning to take you to Manuel Antonio
beach, located in Quepos (Central Pacific Coast of Costa Rica). Free afternoon
to explore the area on your own or just relax beside the pool. Overnight
at Villa Bosque Hotel.
Day
8: At Manuel Antonio. (BG) (B)
This morning you will visit Manuel Antonio National Park, where you will
have a very close contact with nature while you walk along the trails
and monkeys surprise you and welcome you to this beautiful place. Free
afternoon to do activities on your own. Overnight at Villa Bosque Hotel.
Day
9: Manuel Antonio / San José (BG) (B)
Our guide will take you back to your hotel in San José. Overnight
at Torremolinos Hotel.
Day
10: Back Home (BG) (B)
Our guide will pick you up in your hotel to take you to Juan Santamaría
International Airport approximately two hours before your flights
scheduled departure time.
