A first! Ecolodge San Luis & Biological Station now offers a hands-on tropical biology learning adventure in a week-long format. Take the time for a closer look at Costa Rica's spectacular biological diversity. Tackle a different topic every day. Suitable for participants from age 16 and up. Previous background in biology is not important. Activities are undertaken in small groups to give each participant the maximum benefit of interaction with fellow students and personal attention from the instructors. The program is intensive, but tailor-made to suit the background of each participant.

Coursework undertaken each day from Monday-Friday involves a half-day of field lectures, hikes, nature study, lab activities, and work in the open-air classroom, followed by free time to choose among a variety of related activities. Saturday is research day: each participant has a full day to do field studies on a topic of special interest.

Additional week-long modules are available for those who have completed week 1.

University credit may be arranged for multi-week participants.
