We
have now been back a week and have found returning to normal life
very difficult after the wonderful time we had in Costa Rica.
Consulting rooms and hospital wards feel a world apart from cloud
forest and mangrove swamps - if a little drier!
Hope you like the photos. When Duncan gets back I know he is going
to send you more on a disc. Also if you want a copy of the howler
monkeys on CD, let Angus know, as the weirdest sounds now emanate
from his room - including the bell bird which will always remind
us of that exciting morning in Monteverde. We have a photo of
the canopy which is entitled "Spot the quetzal !" -
but despite the lack of anything visible I won't get rid of it
on principle!
Nothing spoilt our holiday and we will always remember those two
weeks. Thank you so much - we were very spoilt having 'the boss'
with us and enjoyed every minute.
Will keep in touch and we really hope to return and/or that you
will come and stay should you be in England.

My
husband and I used your guidebook during our trip to Costa Rica
this past summer. Because our time was limited, about 8 days,
and because we wanted to avoid driving, we decided to go with
organized tours. Using your guidebook we wrote to several of the
companies mentioned asking for quotes for itineraries that were
of interest to us. By far the most flexible and cost effective
were the ones that we received from Green Tropical Tours. The
company was the first to reply providing us with several itineraries
from which to choose, each within a different price range. The
owners Juan Carlos and Sandra were highly efficient and extremely
polite when it came to answering all our questions. In Costa Rica,
they were wonderful, warm, knowledgeable, always were they should
be at the right time. They were able to accommodate our every
need. I was especially impressed by Juan Carlos knowledge of natural
history. Being a biologist myself this was very important to me.
During the last leg of the tour, Juan Carlos was our personal
guide. Knowing my interests he was tireless in stopping on the
road whenever he detected any mammal, bird or reptile!
My husband and I were extremely happy with how Green Tropical
Tours arranged our tour and we highly recommend them. Thank you
for featuring them in your book.

our anniversary, we wanted to see Costa Rica, but were a little
hesitant because language and general travel concerns. However,
we had heard about Green Tropical Tours from family, so we decided
to give it a try.
The hype had been great, and the experience exceeded it.
Our itinerary was perfectly created to our specifications, and
it was executed precesily. In a place we might not have know ehere
to go, what to do, and the best ways to get around, we were treated

just returned from two weeks in Costa Rica.
May I recommend a local tour company,
Green Tropical Tours, info@greentropical.com, www.greentropical.com.
About 6-weeks before I wanted to arrive in Costa Rica at the busy
Christmas season I e-mailed several tour companies in Costa Rica.
Green Tropical responded immediately by e-mail with a great itinerary
and a warm manner. We communicated by e-mail in English for weeks
and worked out details and revisions.
They
carried through wonderfully with everything they promised. Their
driver/bi-lingual guides were punctual and extremely helpful and
informative. They kept in touch with us throughout our trip to
make sure everything was going well. Their prices seemed quite
reasonable considering all the services they provided.
 Owner
Juan Carlos Ramos and his family share responsibilities in the
business. His interest in other people
and their cultures, as well as his own enthusiasm for sharing
Costa Rican cultures, comes through.
I
would also like to recommend a hotel in SanJose, Hotel Rosa de
Paseo, 2862 Paseo Colon. Without our asking, they provided us
an extra early breakfast, before our early morning return flight
to US, an hour and a half before their kitchen opened. They were
prompt in all of their early morning wake up calls to us.
Our
trip to Costa Rica was smooth thanks to Green Tropical Tours.
